Our Upper Primary drama programme aims to give children aged 9-11 years on-going confidence, self-esteem, and skills in verbal communication.

At our drama classes for upper primary children, we believe in a student-centred approach. We provide a supportive and inclusive environment where children can feel safe to express themselves and take risks.

The experienced Drama Kids teachers use a range of techniques to help children develop their skills and creativity. We use improvisation, role-playing, and script work to help upper primary children build their confidence and communication skills. We also encourage children to bring their own ideas and creativity to the classes.

We believe that every child has something unique to offer, and we encourage children to express themselves in their own way.

Whether a child is shy or outgoing, our experienced teachers help children build their confidence and develop important social skills.

Through drama, upper primary children can learn how to communicate effectively, work together, and express themselves creatively. They can explore their imaginations, develop their language skills, and build their self-esteem. Drama classes are not just about acting – they offer a range of benefits that can positively impact a child’s development.

The specially written curriculum and specialist teacher training ensures our students have a balanced, fun-filled lesson every week. Although the structure remains the same each week, each lesson is different and, with the different age groups offered, a child can join the Academy at four years of age and stay until they are 18, without ever repeating a lesson.

Our focus in class is to ensure the students are having so much fun they don’t even realise the amazing skills they are learning by practicing clear speech and standing up in front of others. We work on a four-year cycle so students can start at the age of 4 and never repeat a lesson, making every term engaging and different.

Thank you Drama Kids: Our son has been going to the academy for a number of years and what a difference it has made to his speech and confidence. Our boy is 11 and has oral dyspraxia, which affects his ability to speak clearly and his short term memory. He loves his drama and is very outgoing.
